For couples and families who care together

Reminders for your
pet's medications

No more "did you give the meds?". Laki coordinates every dose across everyone who cares for your pet: synced reminders, an instant update when someone gives a medication, and a history of who gave what and when.

Features

Built so no dose slips through

No more confusing messages. No duplicate doses. No guilt.

Real-time sync

When someone in the group marks a dose as given, everyone else sees it instantly, with nothing to refresh and no one to ask. That is what prevents the most common and most dangerous mistake when two people medicate the same pet: both giving the same dose because neither knew the other already had.

A reminder for every medication

You enter the medication, the dose and how many hours apart it is given, and Laki works out every upcoming dose and schedules a reminder for each one. If the treatment runs every 8 hours, the reminders follow that cadence on their own until the end date.

A record of who gave each dose

Every dose is logged with the exact time and the name of whoever gave it. When the vet asks whether the treatment was followed as prescribed, you have the answer on screen instead of reconstructing it from memory.

Late doses, no drama

If a dose runs past its time, it does not vanish and it does not scold you. It is flagged as late and you can still log it when you give it, at the time you actually gave it. The history reflects what really happened, which is the only version worth having.

🔔

You decide how insistent it gets

Three alert levels: insistent, normal or soft. Set a default and override it for a specific medication. The antibiotic that cannot slip keeps nudging; the optional supplement says it once and stays quiet.

🐾

Several pets, several treatments

A dog on antibiotics and a cat on long-term medication coexist without getting tangled. The calendar view groups every dose by day, and you can filter by pet, by treatment or by status: given, missed or upcoming.

How it works

Three steps. Zero friction.

No emails, no passwords.

01

Create your group

Open Laki, type your name, and you are in. No sign-up, no email, no password to remember. You share the group with a QR code or a WhatsApp message, and the other person joins by scanning it. It takes under a minute, even for someone who has no patience for apps.

02

Add your pet and its treatment

Add your pet and enter the medication exactly as the vet prescribed it: name, dose, how many hours apart, and until what date. Laki works out every dose in the treatment and schedules a reminder for each one, with no arithmetic and no alarms to set by hand.

03

Care together

When the time comes, both of you are notified. Whoever is with the pet gives the medication and marks it; the other person's reminder cancels itself. Nobody doubles a dose, nobody assumes the other one handled it, and by the end you have a full record of how the treatment went.

Who it's for

If more than one person gives the medications, Laki is for you

Memory is not the problem. The problem is that the information lives in two separate heads and nobody has the full picture.

💛

Couples living together

One leaves early, the other gets home late, and the midday dose lands in no-man's land. With Laki either of you can see where the treatment stands without having to text and ask.

👨‍👩‍👧

Families with several caregivers

When three or four people in the house can give the medication, the odds of doubling a dose go up. A shared record makes it obvious what was given and what is still pending, without anyone having to keep count.

🦮

Senior pets and long-term treatments

Diabetes, epilepsy, heart or kidney conditions: treatments that run for months or years, on strict schedules, often with several medications at once. This is exactly where paper and memory fail most often.

🩹

Post-op and recovery

The two weeks after surgery pack painkillers, antibiotics and anti-inflammatories into overlapping schedules. Short, intense treatments with very little room for error.

🐕

Puppies and new adoptions

Dewormers, vaccine boosters and skin treatments given in rounds weeks apart. Dates that are easy to lose track of when you are already handling everything else a new pet brings.

🏡

When someone else is caring for them

A relative, a neighbour, or whoever stays with your pet while you travel. They join the group with a QR, see exactly what is due and when, and you follow the treatment from wherever you are.

FAQ

What people usually ask us

How do I stop forgetting my dog's or cat's medications?

You enter the treatment once, with the dose and how many hours apart it is given, and Laki schedules a reminder for every dose until the end date. You are not relying on remembering to set the next alarm each time, which is where the chain breaks in most long treatments.

What if we both give the same dose by mistake?

That is precisely the problem Laki exists to solve. The moment one person marks a dose as given, the other sees it instantly and their reminder cancels itself. As long as both devices have a connection, duplication caused by not knowing stops happening.

Does it work without an internet connection?

The reminders do: they are local phone notifications, not alerts pushed from a server, so they fire even with no signal. What does need a connection is syncing between people; when the phone is back online, it catches up automatically.

Do I need an account with an email and password?

No. You type your name and you are in. We ask for no email, no password and no phone number. That was deliberate: if joining is a hassle, the other person never joins, and a shared-care app with only one of you in it is worth nothing.

Can I track more than one pet at a time?

Yes, with several treatments running in parallel, each on its own schedule. The calendar view gathers every dose grouped by day, and you can filter by pet, by treatment or by status to see only what matters right now.

What happens if I miss the time for a dose?

The dose is flagged as late and stays available to log when you do give it, at the time you actually gave it. It is not deleted or written off. We would rather the history show what genuinely happened, because a tidied-up record helps nobody, least of all the vet.

Is it only for short treatments, or long ones too?

Both. You set a start date and an end date, and the treatment can run for five days or stretch across months. Long-term treatments are where the difference shows most, because those are the ones nobody manages to sustain from memory.

How much does it cost?

Laki is free. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads. You can read how we handle your information in the privacy policy.
